An interesting post on Open Integral the other day Personal reflections on integral See especially the comments. To me, this is what the Integral movement is or should be all about. Not endless intellectualism or mental masturbation.

Alan, thats a profound point in my eyes.
To be cognitive on steroids would be insane as much as no real concretisation(Gebser) is taking place. On the other hand profound dealing with postmodern thinking and even all other forms of thinking and modes of insight seems utterly necessary .
We had this point about the difference between Laszlo from COB and Wilber about understanding of science and spirituality. Endless debates from the last 5 -10 decades could be added. Not even the work-in-statu-nascendi of European Integral Academy will solve it. I dropped out of my study of medicine in the last year - wanted to become explorer and scientist in brain-mind research - as I saw there is and will be no frame/advanced paradigm in science/philosophy which allows in decades to transform the bodymind dualism.
I wish one day a book will be written in the style Satprem- student of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo - did with : “Auf dem Weg zum Übermenschen” Über ein Experinment der Evolution.
Do not know if its translated into English. The one written by Satprem about Sri Aurobindo is: Sri Aurobindo Or The Adventure of Consciousness”.
Both breathe an atmosphere, both express the feeling and even visceral fluidum of how this integral odyssee, this even natural theology and this living vortex of constant evolution with worldcentric, cosmocentric and all other spiral expressions could be experienced and perceived, felt and breathed.
