M. Alan : Aspiring Integral Yogi Various...

Various...

Posted on Aug 24th, 2007 by M. Alan : Aspiring Integral Yogi M. Alan
well no sooner was my computer up and running then i came down with a flu that is going round.  Fortunately was able to restrict it's severity with some good doses of garlic (a natural antibiotic, and far healthier for the body).

These things make one appreciate and truly value good health, rather than take it for garnted as we usually do.

Anyway, while i was laid up i whiled away the time reading Mark Twain's Life on the Mississippi, a great book (very informative with lots of fantastic anecdotes) by a great man!

I'm still feeling spaced out and contemplative, so i haven't gotten back to work on my books yet, but i'm feeling pretty confident about finishing them.  It's just that it's so nice to be contemplative, and when I write too much i get into that mental state that is just all in the middle mental, with the mind always going on and on and not being able to sit still.  The trick (which i haven't yet mastered), is to write from a space of silence.

With the help of a friend i cleaned up a lot of the clutter in my room; it's amazing how the energy of the room (the feng shui so to speak) improves!

All in all, very happy about how things are going  :-)

Dear Alan,

Sorry to hear about your health. No matter how rich, or poor one might be if you loose it you have lost everything!!! Health is very important. It is simple as that. Physical, and indeed, mental health are vital for the continuance of any project in life. Any impairment can cause problems. ..or worse.

Moreover, remember nobody is here forever. You may be only here for a shorter time than you think or alternatively you may live to hundred. Who knows? Get things done NOW! It is too easy to procrastinate ( I have done it many times) but the clock is ticking….tempus fugit…or words to that affect!

Anyway, let us hope that you will be sending off your manuscript(s) soon as it would be great to see your work in bookform rather than on the internet. It will help to give you greater credibility as anyone can publish anything on the world wide web. Mind you I am not against that…because if we sort the wheat from the chaff you never know what might be discovered. I am a great respecter of the net as it offers a voice to many who would otherwise find it difficult.

Remember Sic Transit Gloria Mundi.

R Searle.
