M. Alan : Aspiring Integral Yogi Gangaji

Gangaji

Posted on Nov 18th, 2006 by M. Alan : Aspiring Integral Yogi M. Alan
This is something for Zaadz rather than Integral Transformation

I have just been to two of Gangaji's satsangs, which were held just up the road from me at the Caulfield Town Hall (in Melbourne). Gangaji is a beautiful lady, beautiful in her physical appearance, beautiful in her compassion and love, beautiful in her lack of ego, and beautiful in the simplicity of her message and teaching style.

Gangaji didn't do anything deliberately, yet I recieved something (this seems to be how these things work). The challenge now is to maintain it!

I don't know how many others there felt this; most of them seemed like ordinary people, although i got the feeling that some of the disciples were a bit blissed out. But hard to tell without talking to people.

This whole thing has made me more interested in Gangaji's grand-guru (if that's the right word) Ramana Maharshi. There's also her guru Poonja (Papaji) who is well respected and seems like a really nice guy, but not enlightened to the level of Ramana.

I should write about these people for Kheper; so far i've concentrated a lot on abusive gurus and egotists, but now i should write about the genuine article too.

Dear Alan,

I am glad you have received a good experience with a guru. They are not all “abusive”, or “egotists”. Inevitably, there will always be some, and usually they crave the limelight. However, Gangaji sounds interesting, and appears to be one of many teachers who were inspired by Ramana Maharshi via her guru Papaji. No doubt you have read one, or more of the books by Arthur Osborne who wrote quite alot on Ramama.

I was intrigued to hear of your reception of spiritual energy, or shakti. The problem as you so rightly say is to how to maintain that power around, and within you. It all ofcourse boils down to selfless loving devotion to God in life, and in meditation. Doing everything, and anything for the Master (ie. the SELF)is the open sesame to spiritual growth….but it is easier said than done……..!!!! IOur minds keep on pulling us down, and we have to ceaselessly attempt to raise ourselves to higher conciousness initiated by the shakti, or  power from “Beyond”! Yet, if we learn to “go with the flow” things will be easier with the process of “time”.

Good Luck!! I hope my last article on esoteric ethics  for Kheper was not completely “nuts” But I do feel a number of things in it need to be said, and known….even if they may be questionable to a certain extent.!

From Guru BobaJi Maharaj……(!!!)………………nows that coo..oool…!!!!!!!!!!!
